Cefquinome Sulfate Injection 2.5% is a fourth-generation cephalosporin antibiotic formulated as a sterile aqueous solution for veterinary use. Each milliliter contains 25 mg cefquinome sulfate, providing rapid and reliable antibacterial activity.

It is used for the treatment of bacterial infections in cattle, pigs, and sheep caused by susceptible Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including Pasteurella multocida, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, and Streptococcus species.

Applications & Dosage

Indicated for the prevention and treatment of bacterial infections in livestock, including respiratory tract infections, mastitis, metritis, and wound infections. Cefquinome acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to rapid bacterial death.

Recommended Dosage

  • Cattle: 1 mL per 40 kg body weight (2.5 mg/kg) once daily for 3–5 days
  • Pigs: 1 mL per 16 kg body weight (3 mg/kg) once daily for 3–5 days
  • Sheep: 1 mL per 25 kg body weight (2.5 mg/kg) once daily for 3–5 days

Administer intramuscularly or subcutaneously. Shake well before use and ensure aseptic conditions. Do not exceed 10 mL per injection site.
