Overview
Florfenicol Injection 10% is a sterile veterinary preparation containing 10% (w/v) florfenicol. It is a colorless to slightly yellow clear liquid for intramuscular administration. The product is developed for the control of bacterial diseases in pigs, poultry and aquatic animals caused by Pasteurella multocida, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Escherichia coli and other florfenicol-sensitive organisms.
The formulation provides reliable bioavailability, good tissue penetration and a convenient concentration for routine farm treatment. It is suitable for intensive farms where rapid, targeted antibacterial effect is required.
Product Information
This injection contains florfenicol as the only active ingredient at 100 mg/mL. Florfenicol is a synthetic broad-spectrum antibiotic of the amphenicol group. It acts by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit of bacteria, inhibiting protein synthesis and stopping bacterial growth. Compared with chloramphenicol, florfenicol shows better safety in food-producing animals.
